MotoDirect Adversity College Scholarship Essay Contest

Are you a graduating High School Senior or currently enrolled in College and want help in offsetting the cost of your education? We at MotoDirect value the importance of education and it is our desire to help one student with their cost of education by giving away a $1,000 scholarship.

What to do:
It's simple. Just write a 300 to 1,000 word essay describing any adverse condition(s) you have faced in life and how you met the challenge and dealt with the adversity.

The Rules:

• Essays must be emailed or postmarked by June 30th, 2011.
• The scholarship recipient will be chosen and notified by July 10th, 2011.
• You must include your Name, Address, Phone Number, Age, High School Name and Address, and the College you are planning to attend when you email/mail your essay.
• Your essay can be emailed to scholarships@motodirect.com (please attach as an MS Word or PDF document) or mailed to MotoDirect at PO Box 491, Warren, IN 46792.
• Essays should be 300 words minimum and should be no more than 1,000 words.
• Entries are limited to one submission per person.
• The prize, a one-time $1,000 award, will be paid by check and will be mailed to the recipient immediately after selection.

Qualifications:

• Applicants must be a graduating High School Senior or a current non-graduating college student to apply.
• Applicants must not be related to any employee of MotoDirect.
• Applicants must be at least 16 years of age.

Please Note:

• MotoDirect will evaluate the essays and select a winner at its sole discretion.
• This is a subjective process.
• Punctuation, grammar, clarity and rganization will be considered, as well as the content of the essay.
• All decisions of MotoDirect are final and are not subject to appeal.
• All essays received will be kept strictly confidential. We would like to publish the winning essay on our site with the winners consent.
